Sometimes, network administrator can set up a hidden wireless network, hidden networks won't show up in the list of wireless networks displayed in the Network settings. It is a wireless broadcast that is not presenting a SSID. If you are connected it before and in the its range now, your Windows 10 device will now automatically connect to it.

ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev update_config=1 country=GB network={ ssid="insert_your_hidden_SSID_here" scan_ssid=1 psk="insert_your_wifi_password_here" key_mgmt=WPA-PSK } And then, it should ‘just work” every time you reboot your Pi.

Please verify if your SSID is being broadcasted or not by accessing the router UI and checking the wireless settings. Once you have confirmed that it is, you can try forgetting all the network/s on the laptop and try scanning for wireless networks again then reconnect to your wireless network. Regards, Dexter. Most devices (if the wireless network option is turned on) will provide you with a list of available networks. If the network is not password protected, then you just have to click on connect. If it is password protected, then you will need the password to gain access.
