In most cases, from your router’s administrator page, you can find your printer on a list of devices currently on your network, then adjust a setting to always assign the device a specific IP address.

All current drivers are online now. Go to the printers' web site and download and install the win 10 drivers. Open Network and Sharing Center to set up sharing files and printers.

I am using a windows 10 computer, however, all steps are the same, regardless of which operating system you are using, whether its Windows 7, 8 or Windows 10. Step 1: Check that computer and printer are turned on and connected. Check to see that your computer is connected to the LAN network and that the printer is also connected to the same network. Check to see that the printer is also turned on. Step 2: Go to Desktop

When you connect a printer to your PC or add a new printer to your home network, you can usually start printing right away. Windows 10 supports most printers, so you probably won't have to install special printer software. Additional printer drivers and support might be available if you update Windows 10.

Add a Bluetooth, Wireless or Network Discoverable printer – Makes Windows 10 to perform another scan to find the printer. Add a Local Printer or Network Printer with manual settings – This option is useful in case you have a printer that uses a serial or parallel port (LPT1, LPT2 …). One of the above options, should help you find and Add the Printer to your computer.

Right-click the connection that should have printer and file sharing turned on or off, and select Properties . In the Networking ( Vista) or General (XP) tab of the connection's properties, check or uncheck the box next to File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks . Click OK to save the changes.

Windows scavenges your network looking for printers that are available for your use. Any printers that it finds are listed. 4 Click the printer you want to use. If you can’t find the printer you want to use, click The Printer That I Want Isn’t Listed and enter the name of the printer or its IP address.
