With Xfinity, you can set up a VPN through your home router. With your VPN’s “bridge” functionality you can create a remote desktop Web connection and use the Internet securely anywhere. Third-party applications and downloadable software may provide the same functionality, but using a company you already know and trust is the safest route.

Xfinity WiFi has the fastest hotspots with the most coverage on the go, even if you're away from your home WiFi network. These benefits are included with Xfinity Internet service at no extra cost. A compatible WiFi-enabled laptop or mobile device is required to access Xfinity WiFi.

You are away from home. There are several Internet connections in your home and you don’t use your Xfinity internet connection. You are using a proxy server in the software that opens IPTV Xfinity Stream. Your system use a VPN server and the default route goes to the VPN connection.

To connect to a public WiFi hotspot, simply select the name of the network from the list of available networks on your device, and enter the password given to you by the establishment. Alternatively, you may be routed to a sign in page where you’ll have to answer some questions and agree to Terms of Service.

Xfinity stream away from home on Roku and Fire Stick. So i found a thread that was talking about this but as usual i could not post to it, so i am starting a new one. I have been a Xfinity/Comcast customer since before they were Comcast. I pay well over 300 a month for their services, but maybe not any longer.
